For the 2015 conference, the organiser Koelnmesse was looking for a technical partner to develop mobile applications, which should accompany nearly 45.000 professional visitors before and during the event.
Computer Rock was chosen for the realization of this project thanks to its expertise in the mobile software development. The team was responsible for conceptualizing, designing and developing an iOS and Android mobile application. Despite tough deadline, Computer Rock was supposed to deliver a high-quality application, presenting the conference visitors with a unique user experience.
The application offers interactive features to its users, such as a structured and fully searchable conference program, exhibitor list, and an interactive 2D-map, showcasing the location of stands and other venue facilities, which can be individually configured via CMS. A personalized schedule of the conference program and the exhibitors can also be created, thereby enabling users to be notified about the upcoming sessions on their mobile devices, or Apple Watch. Application content is pulled from two separate service provider feeds and can be managed using a newly established CMS. The application relies on the API to access the content from the database.
With our solution, we gained deep trust of our partner Koelnmesse, the organiser of the event, and built the fundament for a long-term partnership.
