Suburban Fibre, under the brand name, Legend, offer high bandwidth and triple-play services to homes in the Nigerian capital of Abuja. With a 350 KM fibre network, Legend is positioned to be the go-to home entertainment provider for consumers looking for the latest in content and family entertainment.

To meet the needs of their growing subscriber base, Suburban wanted to upgrade its mobile and web entertainment offerings. The objective was to build their customer base with the latest movies, films and box sets all delivered across a fast, reliable network with intuitive customer interactions. The challenge for Computer Rock was to develop a new suite of video on-demand services from subscription (SVOD), to transactional (TVOD) offered with a variety of mobile and web consumer subscription offerings.

These new subscription packages had to stand out in the market and integrate into a new third-party content provisioning platform provided by Comcast. The platform, compliant with Tier 1 content provider’s requirements had never supported live services in Nigeria. Working closely with Suburban, in a completely greenfield environment we had to design, develop, integrate and achieve successful remote launch of the new Legend entertainment offering.

With proven expertise in launching multiple video on demand (VOD) services for global clients, the Computer Rock team understood the risk and embraced the opportunity of working with Suburban to introduce to their Legend customers an enhanced suite of home entertainment services.

Adopting a pioneering partnership approach, we utilised our inherent skills, tools and capabilities to expediently deliver. Utilising best lean process practise in a challenging, hostile economic and technical landscape, we created a complete entertainment product suite to delight Legend consumer’s . What’s more, the solution’s technology capacity makes Legend future-proof for increased digital consumer demand and adaptation to new technology options.
